1/18 OTTOmobile Nissan Fairlady 240 ZG Grand Prix Red 1972
The Nissan Fairlady 240ZG is the rare, Japan-only homologation special designed to qualify the S30-series Z for Group 4 grand touring racing in the early 1970s. Its most defining feature is the "G-nose" (short for Grande Nose), a sleek, fiberglass front aero kit that extended the car’s length by about 190 mm and significantly improved its drag coefficient to $0.39$. Beyond the aerodynamic nose, the ZG is instantly recognizable by its bolted-on fender flares, acrylic headlight covers, and rear spoiler—elements that would eventually become staples of "JDM" styling. Under the hood, it utilized the same reliable 2.4-liter L24 inline-six engine found in export models, producing roughly 150 hp, but its lighter weight and superior aerodynamics allowed it to reach a higher top speed of 210 km/h
