AUTOart 1/18 Initial D Mazda RX-7 (FD3S) RED SUNS
AUTOart is proud to present the second subject inspired by the animated films and manga series “Initial D,” a scale 1/18 Mazda ɛ̃fini RX-7 Type-R (FD3S) as driven by RedSuns team member Keisuke Takahashi.
Keisuke Takahashi (高橋 啓介 "K.T.") is the number-two driver for the RedSuns, as shown in the logo on the side of the car. The Akagi RedSuns (赤城 ), based in Gunma with their home course in Mount Akagi, is a highly skilled team led by Ryosuke Takahashi, the elder brother of Keisuke Takahashi, who is two years older.
At the age of 21, Keisuke drives Mazda's third generation RX-7, a 1991-model-year FD3S. He is a skilled driver, second only to his brother, and is a rather hotheaded young man who does not like losing, as demonstrated by the way he drives with his emotions. Before Ryosuke got Keisuke involved in street racing, Keisuke was the leader of a Bōsōzoku gang of illegal street racers. In the Initial D storyline, Keisukie joins his brother's new team and has a rivalry with series hero Takumi Fujiwara, the driver of the famous tofu delivery car, the white/black Toyota Trueno AE86. Keisuke races the hill climb uphill on most races, while Takumi races downhill.
The modifications to his car, compared to a standard RX-7, include the Mazdaspeed 5-spoke wheels, Mazdaspeed rear wing, a sport exhaust, a sport steering wheel, bucket seats, and racing harnesses. Cosmetic differences include Keisuke’s license plates and various stickers on the side of the car body.
